The most important thing here is to use hose that is rated for gasoline rather than trying to get the perfect colour. If you use the wrong spec of hose colour won't matter because it all will look like charcoal in the end. If you use the search feature in the top of the page you can find old posts where we show the process of getting parts ready for plating.

As for awards, it is our intention to show the Dino once in a judged environment and then just focus on driving it. Once done this car is NOT going to be a trailer queen.Dino 246https://www.blogger.com/profile/15984039399690373889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8846314917642465023.post-12911323490603432452012-11-25T04:29:04.410-05:002012-11-25T04:29:04.410-05:00Your plating work is outstanding. The new stuff has computer generated pixel writing on it while the old stuff had different font that was silk screened or stamped on. What we did was buy the new hose and make a perfect stencil that allowed us to paint on the CAVIS writing. With the stencil the actual painting is quite fast and easy but the real time came in researching the fonts and sizes which then had to be drawn from scratch. I hope this answers your question and thank you for taking an interest in our project. We are looking forward to the first engine start but there are still a lot of detailing bits to iron out first before we do that.
