Special Delivery: The body is back!

A few days ago we received a very special delivery indeed. After almost 2.5 years away, 3 different shops, and enough expense to buy a new luxury car, 01464 is back in our garage and looking fantastic.

The delivery was handled personally by Don, RM's Quality Control Person (essentially the man who approves the work RM puts their name to at Pebble Beach) and we could not be happier. The car was fresh from over 200 man hours of final polishing and is surely the straightest and shiniest Dino I have ever seen. After a few hours of staring it is into the shop where final assembly will begin in earnest.

A special thanks goes out to the entire crew at RM for both the outstanding work as well as the excellent communication and interpersonal professionalism they showed at all stages of the project. It was a real privilege working with them and it is obvious to us why they are so good at what they do. While dropping the car off, Don had the chance to look over our completed sub assemblies and they were met with his overwhelming approval which very much humbled us.We can't wait to show them the final product.

Now for some pics...

With our quality control done it was time for the final word. Dino came by, checked the work and gave 01464 his paw of approval. Now we can get building and keep visiting for lots of photos of shiny parts going on.

  2. Rob...this is very exciting, especially as many of us Canadians get ready to lay up our Ferraris for the winter and start our own projects. There are many resto threads out there, but I would rate yours as the most detail specific I have seen. Plus, I discovered Petrolicious via your site. So, clutch in, over and back into first and lets start the journey!!
