A poke reveals some rust: The rear drip rail

Here is another example of how some knowledgeable poking can reveal rust that is otherwise missed or ignored. Our first clue came in an overly thick layer of body filler in the area behind the rear windscreen. Looking underneath we saw the traces of corrosion damage. A little poking with a steel awl and we revealed that the entire area behind the seats and rear glass needed looking at. The photos will tell the tale of what we found.

We appreciated that the guys at RM took the time to notice and investigate when they felt something was wrong. Again all new sheet metal was crafted from scratch and the area was repaired to better than new. With this discovery we feel that we are at the end of the rust and can now concentrate on final metal work before preparing for paint.
